Its velvet-like, thick frosted patina finish is accentuated by a gold filled, hand wire wrapped encasing, and it dangles elegantly from 26" inches of gold vermeil and Lapis beaded rosary chain.
Sea glass aficionados near and far can appreciate how delighted I was to find this piece tumbling about in the Hamptons surf during an afternoon beach walk with Tiger. Smoothed to perfection by the sands of time, this unusual piece of translucent sea glass is one of the most beautiful I've ever found.
Cobalt blue sea glass is one of the more difficult to discover amongst the spectrum of sea glass colors remaining in bodies of water throughout the world. Given the clues presented by its striking color, smooth edges and translucence, this piece may have once been a milk of magnesia or other type of medicine bottle and is at least 100 years old!
